For the next Transformers movie...

Unicron

They should perhaps add in... Thomas the Tank Engine?  I stumbled across this tonight and thought it would be fun to share. The site is in Japanese, where this toy originated, but the pics are nice.

Why not? It's not like Michael Bay has found a way to make a Transformers film that is A) entertaining and B) not a complete slap in the face to people who grew up watching the show.

Actually, I always thought that Thomas the Tank Engine would benefit from being re-invented for a grown-up audience. With coal being used as an analogy for cocaine. Think of the possibilities.

I figure Unicron will appear in the next movie, and it will be revealed that the Earth itself is a transformer's body, and the moon is its head...Headmasters!

Also, Optimus Prime will die at least twice.

A better script! This movie defines the term, 'popular failure' that I came up with a while ago. (Okay, I liked it, and I thought that it was okay, but everybody else did not, and there's always room for improvement!)

I grew up watching the cartoon religiously. I videotapes them and watched them over and over again. Even I will admit the original cartoon was no more high-brow than the Michael Bay films. In fact, the cartoon was cheesy as hell. The voice actors breathed life into those characters, certainly, but the show was beyond silly. Remember the episode where Megatron uses pieces of the Earth's core, which is made up of weird green crystals? Or the witty dialog, like when Starscream calls Optimus "Floptimus Prime?"

There are many ways Michael Bay could make a good Transformers film, but making it more like the original cartoon isn't one of them.

My suggestion to the writers of the third installment would be to have fewer than the freaking eight or nine McGuffins of the last film.

Adults who care about the integrity of the Transformers franchise could use a good slap in the face.

;)

This would be awesome! And it would bug the silly humans that feel the live action TF movies should be the 86 movie again. Umm... no. Why torture yourself about "canon" in TF? Does that make the myriad of mistakes in TF "real"? Like that time Starscream had a face mask? And that time Prime had no face?

And several times in the Marvel continuity... with his mind preserved on a floppy disk...

I enjoyed the first TF movie, and count me as a big fan when I was a kid.

People who get that righteous over something like a cartoon need to find better ways to vent their anger. Like correcting the spelling in a signature that goes below every post you make.

twice in US G1 THREE times in UK G1. (although it turned out the FIRST time was a fake-out and he was actually on Cybertron...)
I don't remember him dying twice. I remember his mind put on the floppy disk, then he came back as a powermaster. Did he die as a powermaster after the unicron invasion? The unicron issue was the last issue I bought, and the series was cancelled five issues later. So if Unicron didn't kill him, what did?

F*ck, am I really asking these questions?
