I should have done this last week, before all the 9/8/22 news but here it is anyway. Hope you enjoy.

My TNG era favorite! It's the Refit on steroids. So Sleek. This angle just sums this design up in a nutshell for me.

WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSH!

Despite most views and opinions on the subject, the proof is in the pudding. The impulse engine thrust does clear the nacelle. Just imagine the thrust emitters being in line with this view and it is clear.

It is close, but given the little canon on what exactly impulse engines are, or how they work, the margins could safely be this close.

Again, assuming the thrust can be aligned contrary to what the housing suggests, a clearance for the nacelle is established.

My two least favorite views. (hehe some battle wear visible)

And the guppy belly.

Comments, questions, any alternate view you wish you could see?

Masterful
Thanks. It really isn't, but the decals and attention to tiny details help give it pop.

Ah, the pre-dish battle design.
Hi. Interesting. It blew my socks off when it appeared in FC. I had never dreamed of the Refit taken to this level.

I wish they reverted to this design for later installments.

The kit as shown on the image above builds this way, with no options to build differently. Please elaborate on "pre dish"? Are there 'post-dish' kit options, (which I assume were changes in INS and or NEM) as this is the only one I see anywhere.

Since the thread was bumped, I am going to add some things I hoped would be asked about the kit.

The two hulls can, for purposes of storing in its own box and displaying in a separated state, must not be glued. In the above pics, friction alone is holding the saucer on.

Some close looks at the (non canon) connecting point and some ideas for how stages of separation might look.

I am still working on a stand for the separated 'saucer' so here it is sitting on a pileup. lol

I also want to decorate the plain parts here, but with no canon in this area I keep putting it off. Tne ENT D Cobra-head detail is all I got to go on but the D could be very different.

When they were making the Ent-E model for First Contact, the area leading up to the deflecter array was very curvy and not at all flat. When the filmmakers decided to have a battle scene take place around the array, they altered the design to include a flat area around the array and an even flatter area leading up to the Quontom Torpedo launcher. It was a change that ILM had to make to the finished model at the very last minute hence why a lot of promotional material and this model in general showcase the deflector area's earlier design. Hence why I call it the 'pre-dish battle' design.

I've always pefered that look over the final design that stuck with the ship in later movies and shows.
