Florida question

Surefire

The parts of Florida I've been to are flat -- namely the Tampa / St. Pete Bay area parts. I enjoyed the area -- enjoyed the heat and humidity, and the water scenery.

After talking with locals they said there are some rolling hills in Lake County, by Clermont, in Marion County, near Ocala, and some in the panhandle near Alabama.

Sugarloaf mountain being the highest in Lake County. How many hills are we talking about -- just a few in each of these areas, or actual ranges stretching for miles? I know they are not high compared to other states, but do they look like real hills or just glorified piles of sand? Anyone have pictures of the hilly parts of Florida.

Next time I'm down there, I'd kind of like to explore more of the state.

I wouldn't expect too much dramatic terrain in Florida. It is the state with the lowest highest point, after all (at about 100 metres and just barely south of Alabama).

There is a range of hills that go all the way down past the center of the state through south of Sebring.

They're not big, but they are definitely there....

When they showed the scar of that Xindi weapon in Enterprise, I wondered why the scar wasn't filled with the water since it looked over a hundred feet deep....

Yeah, the water table is fairly high here. The aquifer would have dumped right into the scar.
