What is wrapping up everything satisfactorily? The mystery plot about who was responsible for the blackout is pretty far advanced. D. Gibbons and Suspect Zero are pretty much wrapped up. Aaron's plot and Wedeck's plot have been integrated into the main storyline (although the idea that a President would have to resign because he was caught using a private mercenary outfit to commit war crimes is ridiculous.) The Demetri storyline is pretty much resolved. The pieces sliding into place is making these last few episodes better than average for TV. The only ones left unconnected are Bryce and Nicole, who are apparently dropped. (And the kangaroo, though that may come in yet.)

Even the why is coming into focus, looking very much as though it's about trying to manipulate the future of the entire planet. Seeing the flashforwards tends to make them come true. Thus, the QEDs are supposed to give the wearer special freedom by keeping the wearer from pushed into a certain future by the flashforward.

The series has mostly been about the mystery and every indication is the main points of that will be resolved. The biggest left is whether Mark is killed by his assailants.

There is also the question of how the flashforwards match up with the April 29 the fictional world experiences. The problem there is that it is impossible to reconcile free will as the novel and series have misunderstood it with any coherent explanation. But that was inescapable as soon as Gough committed suicide. It was as impossible for FlashForward to resolve successfully as it was for Lost.

What is wrapping up everything satisfactorily?

Well, I, for one, would like to know why, exactly, Dyson apparently went rogue from the blonde terrorist lady's group, what's really up with Vogel, and for that whole "second flashforward" thing to get resolved.

And Bryce and Nicole were referenced fairly recently, a few episodes ago.

Annabeth Gish has a rockin' bod for a 39 year old. Damn. They should have dangled her as a prize for joining the badguys, not a pre-negotiations treat. I would have at least pretended to join for that.

I've never liked Gabrielle Union and this character is no exception. She sucks. And she's not attractive at all, especially because she so clearly thinks she is, ruining it for me. Ugh. Fly to Hawaii or where ever. No one cares.

I thought for sure they were going to get punked in the ambush. I seriously had no clue they were faking the badguys out and was certain it was going to be yet another stupid TV cliche where the vital asset is transferred in a panel van by a couple mooks, only to get boxed in and taken out by gunmen. When mark whipped out the pistol and capped that guy, I was taken completely off-guard and thought Baltar had actually been given a gun. So, good on them for foolin' me.

The Janis storyline is still retarded. They need to put a bullet in fish store lady already.

With only two episodes left there's no way they can resolve the various storylines without it feeling rushed and lacking. Shit, it already feels that way with the big bad getting mooked in yet another abandoned warehouse.

They really shot themselves in the foot. These episodes are decent enough... but they spun their wheels by showing flashforwards over and over and over or 16 episodes before getting into the thick of things.

Well, now that the show is officially cancelled (didn't need to have a flashforward to know that was coming :p), it looks like next week will be the series finale. I seriously doubt they'll be able to wrap up everything satisfactorily, so be prepared for a lot of unanswered questions.
According to Wikipedia, there are two more episodes left.

Oops, my mistake. I think I was getting it mixed up with V, which has its season finale this coming week.

As for what loose ends need to be tied up, I for one would like to know what exactly the bad guys' game plan is. Why did they cause the blackout/flashforward? Why do they want to cause another one? I can understand individual people wanting to get glimpses of the future, but why make it a global phenomenon? Are they trying to find some way of perfecting it... maybe controlling/limiting the blackouts in such a way that they could be used as weapons?
