Long-time TOS fan here. For years I've been meaning to sit down and transform Kirk's nonsensical escape from the Iotions into a fully-playable card game. I've finally done it!
Fizzbin
Origin: Beta Antares IV
The object of the game is to get a special combination of cards known as a Fizzbin.
Gameplay:
1. Each player is dealt 6 cards, face-down, except for the player on the dealer's right, who is dealt 7.
2. Each player simultaneously turns up the first two cards from the left, except on Tuesday, when only the first card is turned up.
3. Each following turn, a single card is turned up from each player's row of cards, until the game is over.
If a King (during the day) or a Queen (at night) is overturned, another card is placed face-down at the end of the player's row.
The game is over when one of the following occurs:
•All cards have been revealed
•all players except one have been disqualified
•One or more players have revealed a Fizzbin.
If a player has revealed three like cards, said player is disqualified from the game. This is known as a Shralk.
If two or more players simultaneously reveal a Fizzbin, the game continues until a higher combination is revealed.
