Well, DC characters in MK make about as much sense as Yoda/Vader in Soul Caliber.

Sometimes it bugs me a little bit when I'm playing a fighting game as, say, the Incredible Hulk and I get my ass beaten by Jubilee or something. I know it's just a game, but it seems so stupid.
I guess I can buy some of the MK characters taking on Superman (magic ones mostly), but I think if I think about it too much my head will start to hurt.

^ Batman? I'm trying to not imagine Superman . . . or, for that matter, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, The Flash, or Captain Marvel performing one.
Think again. DC doesn't want to see its heroes killed so no fatalities. Not as much blood either. Basically a castration of what Mortal Kombat was.

Yes. But it won't be lonely, I think every MK game since MK3 has sucked. While the 3D ones are filled with extras and characters, the fighting engine is pretty sub-par compared to its competition. It still feels very inorganic, a lot of button memorization to pull off long, flashy combos. Some people like that, but I'd rather have a longer list of moves that are easier and more intuitive to pull off, with combos that are more easily adaptive to the changing situation, and with more concentration on defence.
Virtua Fighter and Soul Calibur are perfect examples of what I mean. I know other games are more flashy and millions of people buy them, I'm just not one of them really.

I think that the trailer looks awesome; I'm looking forward to it this fall.

If they had made MK vs SF instead of SF4, I'd be pissed...
It's sucked since around MK4. Sad too because it was one of my favorite franchises. I've bought a few of the games here and there in hopes it would be an improvement but so far they've all failed. At least I didn't buy them full price.
