Fired From a Bank Job For Being Too Sexy?!?

Doesn't she look like she should be "jumping around" at Club Chubby?

What?

Sorry. Perhaps too obscure a reference?

This Sexy Bank Lady...

Reminds me of Nadine Velazquez, who played Catalina on My Name is Earl.

She played a seriously sexy stripper/maid.

Seems to me that Citibank did her a huge favor. You know how many opportunities she's going to have after all this?

I'd give her an opportunity if she let me... I can think of plenty of positions for her to occupy, and all sorts of jobs to keep her busy...

I was feeling sympathetic toward her until I read the follow-up: She is continuing to speak about how Citi treated her, even though her new employer's Standards of Conduct specifically prohibit it. If they fire her, too, as they are apparently threatening to do, that one will be entirely on her.

Okay, she's a hottie to be sure, but she's not "Stop the world from spinning" gorgeous.

And distracting the male co-workers?

Hmmm... if that's the case, I now have cause (12 years later) for asking my Proff to up my grade from a "B" to an "A" in Gen Ed Psych. You know how many fucking hotties there were who were going into Elementry Education? Do you know how fucking hot it is in Oklahoma in August? Talk about DISTRACTING!

Well, my first reaction was, "Well gee, look at who likes herself a whole bunch". Talk about "Don't hate me because I'm beautiful."

I fully accept that life can be shitty to hot chicks who actually want to A PERSON instead of just fantasy fodder, I have a lot of trouble feeling sympathy for hot chicks. Yeah, sure, it comes with its own problems, but being a hot chick also allows many advantages that 95% of the population will never see. It's like the famous bitching about never being left alone. Its part of the deal. Sometimes there's a little bad to be taken with a ton of good.

I dunno, I mean, obviously she doesn't have a whole lot of issues flaunting it by the look of the article. But being pretty or having a good figure in general shouldn't subject you to stuff like this. The famous generally are seeking fame. People who are naturally attractive may have some advantages and some disadvantages, but a key thing here is that they don't necessarily choose them.

^Very true, Kes. And while I abhor the "See how she was dressed? She was just begging to be raped" crowd (see: O'reilly, Bill), I do take issue with chicks who wear tight Soffe shorts with "P I N K" printed on the ass and then complain about being gawked at.

You can't have it every which way. You can't have your cake, eat it too, then ask for a second slice.

Now I don't know this girl, and I'm not about to call her a whore, but I think it's pretty damn obvious that she is an ATTENTION whore. Myself, being an open-minded, liberal, educated, flower-and-veggie gardening, tidy, articulate, snazzy dressing, man-pretty UNMARRIED 32-year-old male, who just so happens to be heterosexual, in OKLAHOMA... trust me, I've personally felt the pain of of sterotyping.

I'm not passing judgement on everyone, I'm just not totally buying into THIS chick's angst.

I went to school with a girl who was probably an 8/10 easily. But the more you talked to her, the more she slid down that scale. She liked to claim that she'd been fired or passed-over for assignments for resentment for being too pretty. One girl finally snapped and just asked her if she was "sure it's not because you're a total bitch?" It was epic. Of course, when everyone sided with the girl that called her out, total bitch just wrapped herself up more tightly in her "they hate me because I'm beautiful" blanket.

"I'M TOO PRETTY TO GET FIRED!!!"

And what's she going to do with the remaining 23:48 of the day?

;)

She'll need that long to recover from those extensive 12 minutes of sheer magical wonder. :p

Good points. I was sympathetic at first because, no matter how hung up on herself she is, there's no excuse for what was allegedly said/done to her. Seems like everyone involved was acting inappropriately.

Well the Village Voice sure seems to want to get a lot of mileage out of this story. A four page article, ongoing coverage, and a full photo-shoot? The author really seems taken with her as well. I mean she's very attractive, but not quite the goddess the article makes her out to be.
