definitive proof why janeway is the worst captain ever : uhm kremin brief :i know the argument could be made that it was not there because of the reset of the kremin imerium but then kess shows up in season 6 , although i guess it could be argued that in the alternative time line she was , however then the crew would remember it thst way but

because their chief of engineering flunked out of school, their navigation officer was a criminal, their ops officer cant get a promotion or a date if his life depended on it, and their second in command is in his room all the time getting high amd their commander was so bad starfleet never bothered looking for her

Or the more likely reason is that the writers were hacks who didn't really know what they were doing.

I was never bothered by Captain Janeway. In fact, there were a few episodes where she touched my heart. Like when she $aved Kes' Life in the classic, "Sacred Ground." If I remember right, Robert McNeil directed this one, as well. So the cast is all in on it, giving Kathryn an important Life's Lesson. You're never too old to learn!
