Here it is, that all important question about Voyager...

What hairstyle did Janeway rock the hardest?

The retro "old things made new again" bun?
The more practical ponytail?
Or the shoulder length bob she adopted later on?

And NO, it's not because she's female. I'm doing one in a bit about Sisko. No other captain changed their appearance, aside from Shatner's variable sized tummy.

If I had seen that episode, I would have added it as a joke option. Like I had "Klingon" for Sisko.

At least we have sort of a contest going on here. The one in DS9 is far more one-sided.

Personally, I've always wished that they stuck with the initial Caretaker style, the one she had before they changed it and did (more) reshoots.

I preferred the bun style she first sported in "Cathexis", she had it once or twice after that but it didn't replace the bun of steel unfortunately.

Actually, that style was used in "HEROES AND DEMONS" first, and only again in the next episode, "CATHEXIS".

I remember this because I used this as a clue for the 'Name That Episode' thread not long ago.

Anyway, the ponytail was always my favorite.

Ponytail was my favorite as well. Although you could tell how much action was happening in episode based on how out of place the Bun was getting so that was kind of cool.
