^To the best of my knowledge, none of this has been refered to in Amazing Spider-Man. The issue of Carol's love life is covered in her own title and occasionally in Mighty Avengers.

To be fair, it seemed to be more of Mary Jane's decision than Peter's. She also asked for something more as part of the bargain, which has yet to be completely revealed as far as I know.

I think Peter really was willing to let Aunt May die to protect his marriage.

It was definitely a poorly told story, but it's still unfair to say Peter destroyed the marriage himself because of it.

I'm no fan of One More Day, I don't like the deletion of Peter and MJ's marriage or the rest of the progress Peter had made with his life.

However, if we really aren't going to have Peter and MJ together anymore then honestly, why wouldn't Peter ask a fellow superhero out on a date, especially now she's not on the pro-Reg side anymore ? What is actually wrong with that storyline ?

Y'know Ms Marvel and Spidey... I dunno can't see it. I mean she's hot, intelligent, and powerful but remember folks, Carol is a former USAF and magazine editor... so that would be like Spidey dating JJJ. He'd be dating someone like his old boss JJJ.

Honestly, I always thought Pete and Arachne would be an interesting couple, even though she's got a kid, I always liked Julia Carpenter in the old Iron Man cartoon and in Force Works. Plus it puts the two Spider people together.

I'm still kinda holding out for Pete and Felicia to get back together. During the 90s it felt like if anyone was going to cheat it was going to be between Pete and Felicia. I even recall a few ASM's where MJ and Felicia were kinda rivals, but became friends, but I dunno... I think MJ always felt jealous of Felicia, especially once Black Cat became really active again. And Black Cat has always sort of regretted their break up, more than once openly admitting she checks him out.

So who WOULD be a good non MJ match up?

Black Cat, Ms. Marvel, Arachne...? She Hulk is just too big for Pete, Elektra is too 'deep',Wasp is dead, Spider-Woman (Jessica Drew)?, Songbird?
