I usually don't start a new thread for final numbers, but I figured something like this deserved one.

Star Trek INCREASED 1% from last week despite entering its 7th weekend and losing 14% of its theatres. Looks like Father's Day was very kind to Trek.

It also means that Star Trek has crossed $240 million.

International Total: $122,729,658
Global Total: $362,984,998

I knew it was underestimated on the Sunday (Fathers Day), they anticipated a 24% drop from Saturday when Iron Man dropped just 4%

I would not be surprised if the Sunday number increased from the Saturday one.

It increased way beyond what I thought though. I was hoping to just about hit 5 million.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they did. The estimates Sunday showed a 1% increased. Since Sunday obviously really outperformed the estimate, the actual Sunday increase will probably be around 24-25% like Iron Man.

Unbelievable...!

And a nice bracket extending from Mother's Day to Father's Day.

How about Secretary's Day? Any hope for a bump that day?

Damn...

With Transformers sounding like it may be something of a letdown, Trek's legs may end up being truly impressive indeed :wtf:

Holy crap. That's about $2M higher than what I guessed it would be, and over three quarters of a million more than the estimate. Awesome!

Given the number of times Star Trek has surprised me in its 7 week run, I wouldn't count it out by any means.

I'm sure the bean-counters who determine the theater counts are taking notice and there won't be too much of an erosion next week.

Maybe after the initial storm has passed, Star Trek can make a 3rd appearance on IMAX screens, since I understand about 390,000 of the 5.51 million came from those venues.

Wow, that's incredible! Nice...I guess $250 million isn't out of reach after all. What does it need to pass TMP as the #1 Star Trek film? $242 million or something like that?

OT: And yay to Sandra Bullock for her movie opening at #1. Nice to see the rom com genre isn't dead. :D

I predict $250 Million by sometime next week. None the less, for it to increase in its 7th week is simply outstanding.

$235 or $239 Million depending on which source you go with. So in other words, "Mission Accomplished."

Even adjusted for inflation isn't TMP's domestic numbers from 1979-80 less than the new film is getting right now?

WOW this is a shocker, I just finished saying the predictions were higher by a few thousand a few hrs ago, and now the actuals are $800,000 higher, Wow!

Edit: 33.461 million tickets sold!

RAMA
