Final Poll - November Challenge - The Thin Red Line

War! [Good God!] What is it good forabsolutely NOTHIN! [Say it again!]

Klaus brought a timely challenge to our group this time: The Thin Red Line - War and Peace in the Trekverse. With anniversaries of wars past, and wars continuing in the present, and Romulan wars to look forward to in the future (don't say you weren't warned!), war and peace seem to be on everybody's mind in one way or another. It was the things that war brings to mind that we were asked to envision, and the visions came, for sure.

We have 5 combatants this month who took up the banner and crossed the thin red (dead)line to compete in the final arena. Five enter - one leaves ... five enter - one leaves. You may vote for two this month, and the final entrant left standing at the end takes his rightful place as challenger for December's round. Good luck, and be sure to vote!

Victory Declared! Lensman Storms Beaches!

In a stunning and hard-fought battle, with multiple fronts and no quarter given, the November Trek Art Challenge was taken decisively by the forces of Lensman in what history will likely describe as, well, one of the nicest and quietest - even most polite - wars the Federation has ever seen.

Congratulations, Lensman! To the victor go the spoils (not like those Thanksgiving leftovers, either!), and you can now proudly order your subjects to begin preparations for the December Challenge .

Congratulations and thanks, as well, to our other combatants, all of whom carried themselves forward proudly on the field, who fought with honor - you will be remembered. Thanks to everyone who voted and visited the front; we mustn't forget the civilians who contribute so much unseen to the effort.

The light fades now on this battlefield, the weary patriots of all stripes retreat to their lives, to rest, recover, and return when duty calls. Hail!
