"It's a dirty job, but someone has to do it!"

Usually, we're talking about scraping Grandma's bunions, but this time, it's about the unglamourous side of the Federation. Sure, they may have a near Utopia, but dogs still get walked and they leave calling cards on the well-manicured lawns of Alpha Centauri II.

This month, the choice is a little easier, but the entries are as thoughtful as always. Klaus and Starscape lived up to the premise of the challenge - someone had to do it ;). So let's shake their hands for entering (then you might want to use some of that Purel that's turning up everywhere - no telling what these guys went through to turn in their entries!), and then give one man our vote for the dirtiest job. The winner gets an even dirtier job - coming up with December's challenge! Good luck!

Klaus' entry made me just about fall off my chair! I had to read it for a second. And then I laughed my butt off!!

Well, I ran out of time with Thanksgiving and a hectic work schedule this month, plus the fact that Starscape stole my idea!

Anyway, they're both great, but Starscape gets my vote!

I like 'em both, but I had to vote for Klaus. If I'd had time, I'd have done something along similar lines - I envisioned a dismayed yeoman in a French maid-via-Starfleet outfit being forced to clean Kirk's cabin while he told her to check the light fixtures for phasers ...

One vote for Klaus, frigging hilarious..

As for Starscape's entry, makes me think back at the old Space Quest games. :techman:

Well, it's a dirty job, but someone has to announce the winner ;). Congratulations, Klaus! You get to clean out the holodeck from the last "Vulcan Love Slave" performance! Just be sure to head to decon on your way to the December challenge :bolian:

Starscape, thanks for showing us how Voyager came back so pristine after 7 long years in the Delta Quadrant. We always knew that a Starfleet officer risked his life every day - we just didn't know it was always the same crewman!

And thanks, everyone, for voting - these folks don't get paid, so it's always good to see their peers giving them the kudos they so richly deserve.

Now, on with the next challenge! Klaus, aren't you running out of ideas by now? ;)

ty very much all, and for the record I'm in favor of boarding that particular holodeck up...

I'm kicking around ideas, not sure if it should be a holiday tie-in or not...
