Final Enterprise restoration video...

I wonder if the new Star Trek Discovery series might feature the model in a scene where someone visits the Starfleet museum and sees the ship out of a window. They could always explain that while it is not the real NCC-1701, but another Constitution class ship, it was renamed for the museum to show.

Discovery seems to be set in 2255, she'd be out there around the time of the Cage mission at that point.

If you are making a model--remember scale effect of paint. Don't just use the 11 footer's paint on a model.

Thanks for that, it was educational. But it seems to me that the difference between the 11-footer and an 18-inch model (about 1/7 scale) is nowhere near the difference between, let's say, a real Navy ship and a model (maybe 1/600 scale). So I would hesitate to lighten the paint if you're trying to represent what the 11-footer looks like.
