Fellas Do You Shave Your Armpits? Ladies Do You Not?

This is pretty self-explanatory.

I started keeping mine trimmed down in the summer because I was paranoid about pit stains but now it's a grooming habit. But I don't completely shave them because I'd feel like a drag queen who's out of makeup.

My mom doesn't and never has because she said men find it sexy. :cardie: I'm traumatized every time I think about that.

I do it occasionally in summer for hygienic purposes, but shaved it looks stupid and I don't like the feeling (it's sort of chafing and itches), so I just shorten the hair in that area with scissors.

Not often, and not too close. In fact "trim" would be more accurate than "shave".

Shaving or trimming pit hair reduces sweat stains? Hm...learn something new every day.

If my Mom ever said anything about what she does was because men find it sexy, I think I'd barf. On her. Then leave her to clean up the mess.

Then come back and barf on her again.

Gross.

I don't, but my step kid's dad does. They always say "Ewww" at the pool or beach when we go together and shake their heads when I tell them the majority of men don't shave. (they don't like me anyways so it doesn't make a difference to me)

I trim from time to time because it can occasionally get out of control. I shaved them completely once when I was a lot younger just out of curiosity...won't be doing that ever again. Stubble in your armpits is horribly uncomfortable.

I don't and have never even considered the idea. The hair doesn't cause me any problems and I don't see any benefit to trimming it.

I once shaved my armpits to sleep with a woman, she said she didn't like hair and wouldn't sleep with me if I had hair in my pits.

It was worth it.

Believe me I'm sorry I ever asked about it. I was a teen then too so every single thing she said or did embarrassed the hell out of me.

The only other time I've seen a hairy woman was when I was the 2nd AD on a short film and the 1st AD was directing a little kid on how to do a stunt. She fell off a stool and onto a mat and her arms fell above her head. Pit hair came peeking out of her polo shirt.

I can understand why men would shave but why not women.

Of course I do. Or wax them rather.

It's painful, annoying, and stupidly time-consuming, but I always do.

I find the social stigma strange that women should always shave and men who do shave are kind of Seacresty. Not saying it should be different but it's still just interesting.

I'm not an overly sweaty or smelly guy, but I started shaving my armpits and it's a heck of a lot easier to stay clean and fresh-smelling this way. Especially since I exercise, the clean pits are much more comfortable.

Call me a girly-man if you wish, but 8-inch tufts of hair coming out of your armpits is nasty.

Ditto. I hate that feeling.

Yup, shaved.
