Still love the story of that film - the scene when he picks up the cat and starts petting it... Not in the script, no cat was supposed to be there but, as was often the case with Brando, he just went with it.

Stray cat wonders onto the set during filming, he just picked it up and started petting it smooth as silk.

It was his daughter's wedding day, so he could not refuse a request. The kitten requested petting.
