As I was working on a story idea, I started looking through some of the many Matt Jefferies concepts for the Enterprise, and decided to try and turn one into a model.

Behold, the USS Warden, NCC-1503. (Named after a friend of mine, and with a registry inspired by my place of employment.)

I know what you're thinking. Looks like some kind of an odd-ball TOS Miranda, right? The rollbar came later as I was working on the attachment section for the pod. But it's not intended to be a "TOS Miranda" in that sense.

The Warden is an old perimeter patrol ship converted by the late 2260s to a science and survey vessel. Limited weapons, but incredibly powerful sensors and store of probes.

Some quick orthos.

Still need to do all the markings/registries and more windows/detailing on the ventral section.

More to follow.

From a technical standpoint, I'm not sure I'd be happy with the axis of the deflector beam shooting mere meters above the bridge.

Other than that, I feel it's a solid design.
