Poll Favourite Recurring Character

DS9 had the best cast of recurring characters and used them all to great effect, but what one(s) out of all of them did you like the most?

I think I've got all the major recurring characters included, you have three votes, so feel free to use them all or just go for the one above all others!

 

Nog, Vic Fontaine, and Garak are my three favorites. Nog had one of the best character developments on the show.

 

Um...I hate to be that guy, but my favourite character was Lwaxana Troi. Does she count as she wasn't a DS9 exclusive character?

 

Weyoun, Damar and Garak!

I wish they had found a way to keep Krim Aldos around. Garak and Yates should have been made regulars, and Penny Johnson's subsequent career shows that she could have been a valuable asset. to the series.

 

Weyoun, Damar, Garak, Martok, Admiral Ross and Vic Fontaine. It would have been easier for me to pick the least favorite one.....

 

I just voted for one of them but changed my vote because I didn't know that I could pick three of them. I picked Weyoun, Admiral Ross and Martok.
Martok's character made me buy the "Left Hand of Destiny Novels" (by Jeffrey Lang and J.G. Hertzler) at exorbitant prices, because they were out of print at that time.

Garak was an amazing character who should have been a regular.

It was really hard to choose only three.

 

Garak, Weyoun, Nog.

I have a weird fascination with Vortas. They are so strange.

 

Should be 'Best recurring character other than Garak', would get far less predictable results.

Nog also feels like a main. Other than Garak, I'd have to go with Dukat. An absolutely narcissistic head of state who inflicts suffering on people and interprets it as the narrative of his own greatness. A truly prophetic character.

 

She was only in three episodes, so I'd say more 'guest' than 'recurring'.

 

Ah, good point.

I wonder where the line is drawn between guest and recurring... would it be total number of appearances, or would it be a percentage/ratio based on number of appearances relative to the total number of episodes in a series?

 

Kai Winn, Kasidy Yates, Nog

Winn was a great antagonist with a good backstory and they even managed to give her a few sympathetic moments.

Kasidy made Sisko way more likable, I loved her job as a freighter captain and that she wouldn't take crap from anyone.

Nog managed to become a starfleet officer without losing his ferenginess.

I voted for Eddington because he never wore out his welcome, he was a great antagonist for Sisko, and I really enjoyed For The Cause, For The Uniform, and Blaze Of Glory.

I also voted for Martok. It was nice to see a Klingon who had some depth and he had good chemistry with Worf.
