Favourite Guest Star Character

Unsure if a thread of this kind already exists, but this is to discuss your favourite non main cast / guest star character. They must be reoccuring to count. This includes characters such as Q, Lore, Barclay, Garak, etc. etc.

I'll start! Q has to be my favorite, despite my love for characters such as Lore and Garak (Garak because he and Andy Robinson are so compelling, and Lore could have been if the writers hadn't fumbled the bag). Some people dislike the omnipotent and all-powerful character trope, but Q sufficiently spices it up for me. He's not inherently evil and has 0 moral compass, but is also at the whims of the Q Continuum, meaning he has some sembelance of a leash. His rapport with all casts are very entertaining and due to his lack of allegiance to literally anything, the role he plays can be varied. I always look forward to a Q episode, and am never disappointed at the end. He is consistently entertaining and charming. Thanks John de Lancie :techman:

Garak and Dukat.
Winn and Laren.
Rom and Nog.
Martok and Weyoun/s.
Damar and Tain.

Yeah I know it's a DS9 heavy selection. For good reason. ;)

Ooh, favourites!

ENT: Soval easily :vulcan:. But I really, really enjoy Vaughn Armstrong's impressively snotty Kreetassan captain.
TNG: Lwaxana Troi. She is wise, fun, fabulous - and bulldozes past any obstacles that get in her way! Speaking of which, Vash for runner-up.
DS9: Pretty much all of them, but I think Winn takes the cake - I love to hate her!
VOY: Deanna Troi (she's my favourite TNG character).
SNW: George Kirk :luvlove:
LDS: T'Lyn because she's "Vulcan as a motherf*bleep*er"

(and also Andy Billups because he's a "stone-cold, badass"

Mark Alaimo was so damn good as Gul Macet in The Wounded that it literally launched him in virtually the same role on DS9

Honorable mention for James Sloyan as Admiral Jarok in The Defector

But the winner is David Warner as Gul Madred in Chain of Command. Watching him & Stewart was as close to Shakespeare as Star Trek ever got inho
