Unsure if a thread of this kind already exists, but this is to discuss your favourite non main cast / guest star character. They must be reoccuring to count. This includes characters such as Q, Lore, Barclay, Garak, etc. etc.
I'll start! Q has to be my favorite, despite my love for characters such as Lore and Garak (Garak because he and Andy Robinson are so compelling, and Lore could have been if the writers hadn't fumbled the bag). Some people dislike the omnipotent and all-powerful character trope, but Q sufficiently spices it up for me. He's not inherently evil and has 0 moral compass, but is also at the whims of the Q Continuum, meaning he has some sembelance of a leash. His rapport with all casts are very entertaining and due to his lack of allegiance to literally anything, the role he plays can be varied. I always look forward to a Q episode, and am never disappointed at the end. He is consistently entertaining and charming. Thanks John de Lancie
