Who is your favourite hand-to-hand fighter in all of Trek?

The only criteria is that they must've been seen on screen in an actual fight. So even if you liked Redshirt #2 in some episode who threw a few memorable punches, they are valid.

Kira Nerys. Whoops ass when heavily pregnant or stabbed in the side, can survive a knife fight, take on a Jem'Hadar, beat the tar out of Damar, and makes sure than no door bell will survive her fury

If she went head-to-head with anyone, my money would always be on her!

Following Into Darkness, it has to be Spock. He countered a skullcrusher with a mind meld! And then beat the living shit out of Khan Noonien Singh (admittedly with a little help). Glad he's on our side.

Second is Kirk Prime, and his Six Moves of Doom™

Shatner-Kirk is the one I most think of, because he frequently did stunts himself, particularly in "A Taste of Armadillo-- uh, Armageddon"

Runner up is actor/stuntman Jerry Catron, unbilled as Mr. Montgomery in "The Doomsday Machine". He shows off a few martial arts moves before Decker beats the crap out of him.

Worf.

His use of the patented two-fisted hammer punch (from the Kirk-fu school of martial arts) is beyond compare.

It's Worf for me. The toughness he showed being forced to fight Jem'Hadar after Jem'Hadar is unmatched but the move that makes him my pick technically wasn't used in a fight. It was when he snapped one of the Weyoun's neck. There were many times where the protagonist could have finished off a villain but Worf did what many before him didn't. Too bad he was reclonable.

That episode when she got stabbed by that Klingon and then preceded to knocked him out made me respect her toughness more.

I can't even recall a fight scene in the spinoffs. I know they are there, but nothing remotely sticks out.

My favorite fist fight of all time is Kirk vs. Finnegan.

I don't remember a fistfight in TNG either at the moment, except for a guy that beamed directly to the bridge that caused Picard to run up to the guy and punch him down and fall.

I also remember a Borg shoving Worf aside in Best of Both Worlds.

I also remember Data choking a fictional Borg on the holodeck.

I like the Mirror Universe fight with goatee Spock.

Oh hell yes! That was one of my faves! Spock gave as good as Kirk did in it and it was nice to see Kirk on the receiving end there, fight wise.

I really like nuKirk in the bar scene, but maybe it's for his cocky attitude and the line "so get some more guys and it'll be a fair fight."

I also like the Lore vs. Worf fight in "Datalore," and Lore's line "show me your warrior strength."


So maybe for me, there has to be an attitude or good line to the fighter.

I'll second NuKirk's brawl. And when TOS Kirk duked it out with the dung-throwing Mugatu ... nothing could owe for more spectacle!

One thing about the NuKirk bar fight was that right before it, when he was flirting (and failing) with Uhura, he made a silly face that was really (I mean REALLY) reminiscent of Shatner. The man did his homework.

For fisticuffs, NuSulu and Sulu Prime take it for me, but I could be biased of course. And as classic as the fight in Trouble with Tribbles is, the Trials and Tribbleations fight takes it for me because of the juxtaposition of styles.

There's also the Hayes Vs. Reed fight. You could cut the tension with a Borg laser beam.

Lastly, for some odd reason, there's a soft spot in my heart for Admiral Quinn beating the snot out of Riker left and right. I have no beef with Riker whatsoever, it was just funny to watch (Jonathan Frakes really loves his legs, apparently -- whether it's doing some sweet kicks, or leaning on Data's console, or walking over a chair to sit on it, he loves his legs).

I vaguely recall them rolling around in the mud and I just saw "Family" not that long ago.
