By '11' I take it you are also including the Master's regeneration in "Utopia" and Melody's two regenerations in "Day of the Moon" and "Let's Kill Hitler", correct?

Anyway, I'd have to say my favorite was 10-11.

mine would be the 4th one in which the 4th doctor changes into the the fifth doctor.
"It's the end... but the moment has been prepared for." :techman: That's my favorite Classic regen.

For those who can't recall them all:

Though it also heralded a bit of a parting for me and Dr Who, the regeneration from Five to Six is superb.

Some people think it was overdone and manipulative, but to me its hard to beat Ten to Eleven for emotional impact. I've lost track of how many times I've rewatched it and gotten teary-eyed. Hell I can't even listen to Vale Decem without tearing up a little.

I have to go with the first one I saw, the regeneration between 9 and 10. The emotion in that scene, considering what the Doctor and Rose has just been through, and the effects and music were spectacular.

4 to 5 was the first one I saw, so I'd go with that one.

Add to that the idea that some future, in-between version of himself was a part of it, give it some extra coolness.

The very first one, when none of us knew what the heck was going on. Turned out pretty good. :)

As cool as the regenerations have been in the new series and even the second Doctors forced regeneration I keep going back to the first one. I think mostly because it was a "what the hell" moment and also because it was responsible for introducing us to so many great Doctors / actors.

Done so brilliantly too. It still looks great today.

Peter Davison into Colin Baker.

Not only does the Doctor's death have a real emotional impact in terms of the sacrifice he makes to save Peri, but Colin Baker's introduction is such an emotional contrast that it makes for a great regeneration moment.

I'm perhaps a little biased because Davison was the first Doctor I really remember watching, and I think everyone's first is one of their favourites. And Peri is one of my favourite companions (alongside Romana II). But nonetheless, I think his regen scene is pretty damn awesome.

I love 9 regenerating into 10. Aside from it being an emotional one because he saved Rose, I just love when he becomes David Tennant and goes "Where was I? Oh yes Barcelona" with that big cheesy grin.
I'll say that sometimes when I lose my train of thought.

My favorite is 5 to 6. My next favorite is the one we have yet to see: 8 to 9. I'm just so fucking impatient waiting for that one. :brickwall:

Either 4 to 5 as it introduced my favorite Doctor or 5 to 6 as it was in my favorite original series episode.
