For me it has to be TOS. Those bloops and bleeps are so lovely. I could fall asleep with that sound looping. I love Mr Spock's scanner as well.

TNG is good as well. I like the sound the pingy lights under the viewscreen make. However, DS9, VGR and ENT's bridges make very generic noises. IMHO

Just fall asleep with a dvd on, as I'm sure many of us here have at one time or another...then you can! :)

You're right. So much so, in fact, that I can't even think of what DS9's or Voyager's even sound like!

TOS is the only one I recall that had comms voices reporting in from various sections of the ship. That small detail made the Enterprise a real ship to me.

I miss hearing those background voices in the other series.

Definitely TOS--there's something warm and fuzzy about those classic sounds. TNG is the only other one whose noises I can remember OTTOMH.

I loved the TOS bridge sounds. I had the TOS sound effects originally on cassette, and would pop it into the car cassette player while on the interstate. It was like having your own starship until the big crash sound and red alert siren.

Between TNG and DS9. I like that soft rumble of rotation.

I have fallen asleep with the DVD on. It's like falling asleep with the dryer going in the next room.

Good point, now that you mention it! :techman:

TOS for me.

I really didn't realize how much I loved those background sounds, until the end of Star Trek IV "The Voyage Home".

When Kirk and crew enter the bridge of the Enterprise A and those sounds began, I felt exactly like Kirk said, "My friends, we've come home." :techman::bolian::techman:

TOS but there are so many TNG noises I like too, the most relaxing is the warp cores' rythmic pulses in engineering, sends me to sleep so easily.
