Inspired by the "Favorite Military Aircraft" thread, here I am starting one for my fellow lovers of fighting ships. Which are your favorites?

Here's a few of mine, in no particular order:

Iowa-class battleship. Need I say more?

USS Constitution, one of the most beautiful and deadly sailing vessels of all time:

Typhoon-class sub, for when you absolutely, positively have to rain nuclear death down upon an entire continent, accept no substitute:

Seawolf-class sub - for when you have to kill a Typhoon:

Badass-looking corvettes, either Norwegian or Sweedish:

Modern U.S. surface combatants - Ticonderoga-class cruiser, Arleigh Burke-class destroyer, Oliver Hazard Perry-class frigate, and Littoral Combat Ship:

Considering this is a Star Trek board, I'll start with the obvious...

USS Enterprise (CV-6)

The list goes on to include:

HMS King George V class battleships
USS Washington
USS Midway
USS Lexington
Los Angeles class attack subs
HMS Vanguard

like the Japanese Yamoto from world war two (mind you looking at the Iowa and the Yamoto they look pretty much the same)

the Russian Typhoons are pretty good. a underwater cruiser nice
flower class corvette from WW2
and the old HMS victory nelsons flagship

never really liked carriers they seem so boring.

I've got to go with the Nimitz and Gerald R. Ford classes of aircraft carriers.

The famous Ironclads, USS Monitor and CSS Merrimac:

I just have to mention that technically, it was officially the CSS Virginia (built on the remains of the USS Merrimack), although many Confederates also called it Merrimac(k). There was actually a later ship named CSS Merrimac though.

My home for 3 1/2 years:

And back when she was the most powerful weapon man has ever crafted, before she was coverted into a SEAL taxi.

More a lucky shot than anything else.

Typhoon-class sub, for when you absolutely, positively have to rain nuclear death down upon an entire continent, accept no substitute:

Is the Typhoon actually in as close as she (well be Russian that should be He) seems?
