Promenade. Great two level design for all sorts of interesting camera angles, Nog and Jake watching the crowds below, dropping things from sand peas to people.
Definitely Quark's Bar!Good afternoon.
What would you say is your favorite set (e.g. Quark's bar, the Replimat, the infirmary, et cetera) on this show's titular space station and why?
Definitely Quark's Bar!
THE place on Deep Space Nine!![]()
Not to mention the ongoing performances with the greatest musical performers and talents of the 24th century:Come to Quark's, Quark's is fun, come right now, don't walk - run!
I love it because it's a set made for an acting presence like Avery Brooks, also there's a bit of irony involving race relations to visualize Caucasians looking up to a Black man. For me, Operations was seen in a grand scale the cameras seemed to move efficiently for medium shots or a dolly, also the designs was beautiful and very alien. I had a feeling the money was spent just in case DS9 became as big a hit as TNG and easily transition the set to the silver screen. Before JJ Abrams sets I thought the DS9 sets were the best Star Trek sets I'd ever seen.Ops.
Several reasons why I like it:
- the bit about the commander's office being at the top, so everyone has to look up to it with respect. Gotta love Cardassian design.
- the in-built transporter alcove
- open turbolift!
It think that Quark did sort that one out because it's not a selling product. No "1990s New Age Tribal Chants of Central America" from Chakotay?
You're giving me new ideas!I wonder if Maj. Nerys is a fan of Pat Benatar.
Props to Ops for sure, though there's nary a section to dislike.![]()
