Okay non-Trek...and non-FTL (faster-than-light)

I came across this article from denofgeek:
top 75 spaceships in movies and TV parts 1, 2, 3

Other than those 75
My non-FTL favorites are:
Mars Recovery from Mission to Mars (2000)
Production designer Ed Verreux achieved arguably the most convincing and meticulous space vessel since Kubrick
which IMHO agree with.

Antares from "Defying Gravity" (2009)

Icarus II from Sunshine (2007)

Mars-1
from Red Planet (2000)

non-Trek what are your favorite non-FTL spaceships for design?

The Vulture from Salvage 1.

The entire suite of 2001 and 2010 vehicles. [But that goes double for the Leonov.]

And the Space:1999 stuff.

It does not.

Serenity only travels within one single star system, and even then it takes weeks to months going from one planet to another planet.

There surely has to be more than one star system in Firefly

I think they left it pretty ambiguous whether Firefly took place in one or multiple star systems.

At the beggining of the Serenity film they sya how humans colonised the a new star system. They did this through terraforming planets and moons which is why there are so many worlds. the dvd extras go into more detail.

I agree with the firefly craft. I would like to add a real world exampl. The Lunar Module.
A great designespeciallyfor it'stime.
