Here are the top ten characters of the first poll. This time you can only vote for TWO characters. Who are your favorites? :)

EDIT: Damn, I fucked up the poll settings. I wanted the poll to automatically close in a week. But instead I typed in 10 days. Oh, well ...

I went with Sayid and Locke as I enjoy both of them the most. Both are very multifaceted characters who blur the lines between good and bad. I think they are a testament to the outstanding writing of Lost. It also helps that they're portrayed by great actors, too. ;)

Sawyer and Ben. Sawyer because I've always thought he was hot (even when fandom was mostly looking in Jack's direction) and because I think he really came into his own this season. I voted for Ben because although I have spent several seasons utterly loathing him I feel that he is a real standout character, iconic even.

This isn't even a fair poll. How am I supposed to pick???

Okay, Ben and Locke. But I liked them all.

Wow...it's really hard to pick. Not so much for first place, because Sayid is my favorite character, hands down. But second place is tougher. I voted for Desmond, but I really love Sawyer too - it's really almost a draw between them. Desmond has one of the most interesting storylines on the show...but Sawyer is by far the character who has grown the most over the course of the show, and I like that very much.

Fourth place for me would probably be Hurley...although, oddly (given how few episodes he's in), Richard Alpert would give him some stiff competition. I love a mystery...and there is no greater mystery on LOST than Richard Alpert. I am absolutely fascinated by him and, partly because he is in so few episodes, I look forward to seeing him more than any other character....always hoping that we might get some new little crumb of information about Richard. Can't. Get. Enough. Richard. I think they need to make him regular cast for the last season. Because IMO, he's one of the central keys to the entire show - tying everything and everyone together. And perhaps the ONLY character on the entire show who seems be be nearly devoid of self-interest, but is truly thinking ONLY of the Island.

Muahaha, by voting for Sawyer and Desmond I (unknowingly) tied out the votes at either 0 or 4 for everyone!

See, you doing this makes me feel better because all the characters I wanted to vote for but didn't are nicely matched. So, my conscience is clear! (Other than Richard. Sorry, Richard.)

^ I actually warmed up to Faraday toward the end there. At first he was somewhat annoying to me. Then I started liking him a bit more when we got into all that Desmond-at-Oxford stuff. Then I got even more sympathy for him when we discovered that Eloise was his mother...and was not exactly the most sympathetic mother on earth.

Felt bad for the guy.

Still, I really like all of the characters in this round, except for Locke. I liked him in the first seasons or two, but in recent seasons he has become somewhat of an arrogant jackass.

I voted for Ben and Des, but I could just as easily have voted for Sawyer and Locke too. The lack of Desmond has been a bit bad this year, hopefully he'll be back for more next year. Though I hope they don't hope they fuck up his happy ending too much.

Yeah, I agree with you about Desmond. I think they put him in where they could and where it made sense given his previous storyline, but he didn't have nearly as much to do this year as the past couple of years since he was off the island the entire season.

I think everyone loved his happy ending so much that they didn't have the heart to bring him back to the island.

YET.

Still, the Hume family is living on a boat...and unless they decide to move to dry land and never fly again, he's not out of the jungle yet!

Locke and Sayid.

They have been my favorites since the beginning. But Hurley and Ben are tied for third.
