Ok, so when you are on the go, and want to take a game with you, what handheld system do you prefer to use? Is it your cell phone? The Switch? The 3DS? Or something older like the Game Gear?

I’m counting systems like the all-digital PSP and the NEW 3DS to be the same as the PSP and 3DS in the poll, as they were just hardware revisions that in one case got rid of the physical media (but the same game could be played via download) and in the other case built in the NFC device. Whereas the Game Boy Color has its own games that could only be played on the Color.
that's a tough question for me because I don't really do handhelds (or mobile for that matter) - they don't fit my lifestyle (commuting by car only) and my preferences for games (which mostly require pretty beefy hardware, large screens, rock solid broadband)

I don't play much on the go now but I usually use my tablet. Mostly play easy stuff like Angry Birds or something when I'm having to wait at the doctor's office.
Back in the day my favorite portable was the Sega Nomad that played Genesis games.

Nothing beats the original Game Boy, at least not for me. 
Merlin, 1970's style. I'm talkin' old-school.
I don't really think of Switch as a handheld, even though it's what I take on planes, but other than that, 3DS. It just has the best game selection.
Or it technically is now, since there's also the smaller lite version.
It’s just such a huge jump to have a portable system that can handle full size games with modern graphics. Instead of massively scaled down games where all the conversation is static portraits. It’s hard to mentally delineate in the “Handheld” category
