Well, wouldn't you know it, we have a tie - 10 votes for the Vulcan science officer, 10 votes for the old country doctor. Part of me says we should just leave them deadlocked together, bickering in a turbolift somewhere. Of course, a bigger part of me says there must be a winner, so here we go - next vote from someone who hasn't voted yet this round decides the whole tournament. It comes down to this!
Leonard H. McCoy
With an 11-10 nailbiter of a victory in the finals, Dr. Leonard 'Bones' McCoy has won our Favorite Character Tournament. It was a lot of fun and I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did. Special thanks to the people who voted every round. That was awesome! I'll do this tournament again sometime (with some different secondary characters and, of course, all new random matchups), maybe in March to coincide with the NCAA March Madness tournament, maybe next October since it'll be a year, maybe immediately if the public demands a second chance for their favorite characters, who knows? Right now, we'll give Dr. McCoy a chance to enjoy his victory.
