Father punishes daughter with 8 bullets...

...to her laptop.

I don't know how many here have seen this yet, as it appears to be hitting the series of tubes known as the interwebs like wildfire, so I had to share it so everyone could experience it.

Apparently, this guy's daughter wrote some stuff on her Facebook Wall that her dad thought was "ridiculous," "disrespectful," "childish and stupid." And, being the sound minded rational adult that he is, he responds with by doing something ridiculous, disrespectful, childish and stupid.

So, what do you all think? Is it good parenting, abuse, or simply some bullshit viral video prank?

Personally, I'm leaning toward bullshit.

Well, for those who aren't a part of TNZ, or don't care for the sort of riff raff down there, this might be of interest. I'm sure this will be fine. That said, isn't the father rather hypocritical in, essentially, doing what the daughter herself had done? Isn't the shooting of the laptop an implicit threat of violence toward the daughter and those she was chatting with on Facebook?

That's exactly what it is.

Of course, this guy's logic astounds me....

"We have a lady who cleans our house, but you will not refer to her as a cleaning lady!" Yeah, okay then.

I've already expended a lot of emotion ranting about this parenting by intimidation in TNZ :(

I'll just redo my last post on the topic. I wouldn't normally do so but it is a topic I feel strongly about.

Here's what the father could have done.

15 Year Old Daughter via FB
: OMG fuck this fuck my dad and his fucking cunt shit crap let that asswipe do his own fucking dishes whut am i a slave I HATE MY LIFE

Dad via FB: I love you honey and I will always love you even if you're really mad at me and even if we fight and say things that hurt each other.

Some parents cannot stand to have their authority defied. The defier must be crushed! This is not a healthy way to parent. As someone else said if this was a boyfriend or teacher or STEP DAD who did this it would be seen as extremely inappropriate and in the case of the boyfriend or step dad as domestic violence. Why we think being the biological father means you get to be MORE of an asshole to your kids than other people are allowed to be I do not know.

I agree 100%.

Just because you're someone's biological parent (remember, the mom told him to put a bullet in it for her) doesn't mean you should get a free pass.

I seriously can't help but laugh at this guy's logic. His daughter flat out says that because of the way he treats her, she won't be there for him in his old age and what's his response? To throw a temper tantrum and threaten her with violence. That's some genius level thinking right there pal!

Oh boy,

So much to say and really ignore. 1st while I am sure that his daughter showed some typical teenage behavior, that we are all familiar with.

This is no way for a reasonable intelligent problem solving person to respond. He strikers me more as a dogma-endowed inflexible judge with rather obvious insecurity issues, than a reasonable parent interested in the well being of his child.

But what I find most amusing is the insistence that she needs to pay him for the new parts to the lap top, because he couldn't control his tantrum with his pistol.

Child see...Child do. :vulcan:

'Nuff said...

I haven't posted my thoughts on this video in TNZ but I have to say that this was brilliant!! Too bad to his daughter. She was warned and then THIS bs public disrespect. You did good, dad. I played this to my 18 year old daughter on Friday night and she agrees... do your chores, look for work, and stop being just another entitled brat

"We have a lady who cleans our house, but you will not refer to her as a cleaning lady!" Yeah, okay then.

I understood it that the "cleaning lady" is there to help around the house to work-off an unpaid bill to the father's business. She's not their "maid" there to do whatever the daughter wants to pick-up after her.

More like a serf, or indentured servent

Or neither considering the woman likely had free-will and autonomy and just worked a "shift", again, in order to pay her debt. I assume she could've done that or the father could have taken her to small-claims court, put a lien against her property, damaged her credit, etc.

But, no, "come and clean my house for a few hours a day for a couple of weeks and we'll call it even" hardly makes her an "indentured servant" nor does it, exactly, make her "the maid." Strictly speaking, it seemed like she worked directly for the father and not for the family (or at least not for the daughter.) And her presence doesn't negate the apparently light chores the girl had.

Again, she was warned to not disrespect her parents and if she did there would be consequences. The girl was being disrespectful to her parents, this "cleaning lady", and had a bad impression of what her life is. The father delivered her a dose of reality.

While i do agree with the fact that he overdid it slightly. I dont see why you all need to jump the gun. Pardon the pun. The only casualty was a laptop and the girl's pride. I see no problem with this.

What a surprise.
