I just watched this movie on Hulu this morning, and thought it was really good. For those unfamiliar it focuses on Ruth, a woman who has seizures that cause earthquakes, who is revealed to be part of a family where all of the women have the ability to take thing apart and put them back together with their minds. She eventually goes home to see her mother Bonny, played by Lorainne Toussaint, and her daughter Lila, played by Saniyya Sidney, who both have the family powers, in order to try get her powers under control. Along the way she is being hunted by a government scientist played by Christopher Denham, and a local cop played by David Straithairn is also involved.
It is a very grounded movie, and is really carried by the strength of the cast's performances, and the relationship between Ruth, Bonny, and Lila.

i really liked it too...they have some great actors (some with sci-fi/fanatsy experience )as a part of it... Daid Straithairn from Alphas and Lorraine Toussaint form INto the Badlands.

Definitely worth watching...and i think considered a "family" movie.. nothing too graphic

Yeah, the only violence is a non-graphic gun shot, there's no sex, and there's not much swearing, although there is one fuck. I think the fuck is probably the only reason it's PG-13.
And I forgot to mention before, that according to Wikipedia there is a TV series in the works, with the involve of the director and co-writer. I hope it happens, because the ending is pretty open ended with a ton of potential for more stories.

Thanks for the heads up. I’m a big fan of Gu Gu’s, so I’ll be check ing this out.

It's available for free on both Hulu and Amazon Prime. I watched it on Hulu.
