Farscape sequel movie in the works!?

If this is true, I may just weep incredible tears of joy. If this is false, someone is getting skinned alive for toying with me.

Looked up the guy. He wrote these 14 episodes of the series:

- Prayer
- Kansas
- What Was Lost: Part 2 - Resurrection
- What Was Lost: Part 1 - Sacrifice
- The Choice
- Losing Time
- Suns and Lovers
- Liars, Guns and Money: Part 3: Plan B
- The Locket
- Crackers Don't Matter
- Taking the Stone
- The Hidden Memory
- A Human Reaction
- The Flax

Farscape movie? They're calling it Guardians of the Galaxy. ;)

Seriously though, that'd be potentially really awesome.

Good news, but I'll believe it when my ass is in the theatre seat, and even then, not until the movie starts.

I think the 2007-8 Writers Strike iced the webisodes.

I'm not sure how I feel about this rumored movie starring their teenage son. It makes it sound like most of the original characters won't be in it...

No, web series oddly enough is OK, it's how we got the Dr. Horrible movie because that didn't break the rules.

Never going to happen, just like the web series, there is not enough money in Farscape.

Wikipedia:

At the Burbank 2007 Farscape Convention in November 2007, Rockne S. O'Bannon stated that the webisodes would likely be released in 2008. Farscape star Ben Browder told SCI FI Wire that he looked forward to reprising the role of astronaut John Crichton in the webisodes. The 2008 writers' strike put a damper on the plans, and Browder said that it was too early to figure out to what extent he would be involved. Browder said that he had a brief discussion with Henson about the Web series at last year's Comic-Con International in San Diego:
“ They haven't come to me with any specifics yet, and I don't read anything into that. But at Comic-Con, Brian discussed it and said, 'Yeah, we're still figuring it out.' The writers' strike happened immediately after that, … and a lot of things went on hold, and it will take a little while before a number of things get going again.[18]

Unless I've misread, all that article says *in passing* is that a writer is working on a script for a Farscape movie. That's not exactly what I'd call a "movie in the works". For all we know it's something he's just going to try and pitch at a studio, nothing more.

Don't believe it and also don't see the point, Farscape story is over and it was a dam good one.
