Hello, I am creating the first Issue of a star trek Fanzine, and was wondering about fan stories.
How would i get fans to write stories for it? Sending Issue to them by email?

Also, it talks about the expanded universe, such as concepts like ground troops in star trek, and planets and races not included in the canon.

The usual practice back in the days of print 'zines was to send each person who contributed material to the fanzine a free contributor's copy.

I remember back in the day I couldn't wait for my fanzine to come. I was so thrilled when it was in the mail. They let you do that? I'm surprised.

Do what? Send contributors' copies? It's the decent thing to do for people who have gone to the trouble of writing articles, poems, or creating artwork.

That's one thing I miss about online fanfic that originated in print form. The sites that host it don't usually include the original artwork. Some of it is exquisitely well-done.
