Re: EXCELLENT new promo for the March 12th (and new) eppys of Supernat
Oh yeah, BSG did a pretty poor follow up to the Ellen resurrection episode. I can't bring myself to care about Tigh's marital problems or Caprica losing her baby. Caprica inflicted plenty of pain. Time to pay the piper. I'm sorry, but Ellen didn't attack her on that freighter and kick her in the stomach. She didn't make her lose the baby. But it all reeked of soap opera, and Bill looked pathetic gazing longingly at his ship. Something rang so false about it all. Not that I don't enjoy BSG most of the time, but it sure has its clunkers and I question some of the choices made for story. I didn't approve of the violent methods, but I can understand perfectly why so many wanted to mutiny. Even Lee admitted he understood why they were doing it and copped to the fact that if he didn't know Bill and Laura so well personally, he wouldn't know what to do either.
Kripke planned a majority of his five year arc ahead of time and it shows. Even with the occasional clunker of an episode, the consistency is always there: Ghostly Mary's reaction to her two sons in season one's "Home" makes perfect sense after you view "In the Beginning." Her look of recognition at Dean, her saying "I'm sorry" to Sam--they fit in retrospect. Sam reminding Dean in season two's "Houses of the Holy" that Mary said angels were watching over them and the local priest's description of warrior arch angel Michael that sounded like a perfect description of Dean....it all fits.
