Episode 15--Death Takes a Holiday
Oh, these final eight episodes of the season are going to kick SERIOUS ASS. Whoever made up this promo.....well, it sure wasn't Dawn Ostroff and the CW's marketing team, that's for sure.

Check it out. Slightly spoilerish of course, but nothing too specific that would ruin anything big. I like a little bit of spoilers, but not too much. No reading sides. Just enough to whet the appetites and boy is this promo a tasty appetizer.
Torture and reapers and Castiel oh my!

Whoa... some good stuff there.....

Re: EXCELLENT new promo for the March 12th (and new) eppys of Supernat

Isn't it, though? Little payback time for Alistair and a further blurring of the lines between the good and the bad. Castiel giving someone a right cross piques the interest. I wonder if Tessa will fill Dean in on all that he doesn't remember.

Re: EXCELLENT new promo for the March 12th (and new) eppys of Supernat

Apparently half those clips are from 4x15 episode, and the others are from 4x16. That's Uriel that Castiel is hitting. Nice.

What's the schedule for these episodes, do we get 8 in a row?

Re: EXCELLENT new promo for the March 12th (and new) eppys of Supernat

I think so, but I wouldn't bet my first born. The tv signal switchover is what caused them to not program in February for fear of losing even more viewers for the CW shows. Of course not every area did the switch; it was delayed at the last minute. It's so screwed up.

That being said, they are whetting the appetite nicely....if you happen to come online and look. All the advertising dollars are still going to Gossip Girl and 90210. With the sponsors being hit by the bad economy everything is shrinking. Advertising dollars are less. How the CW manages to survive is beyond me, but they're going to stick with this "attract the teen girl demo" strategy until they go under. A remake of Melrose Place is in the works for pilot season, as well as a possible Gossip Girl spinoff.

I'd rather watch the Winchester boys drink demon blood and torture Alistair.

Re: EXCELLENT new promo for the March 12th (and new) eppys of Supernat

The other 3 hour long dramas I watch, 24, Lost and BSG were all shitty this week and I actually thought to myself "Cripes, I wish I had at least a dose of the Winchester boys this week" Supernatural is probably one of the most consistent shows on television.

Re: EXCELLENT new promo for the March 12th (and new) eppys of Supernat

Oh yeah, BSG did a pretty poor follow up to the Ellen resurrection episode. I can't bring myself to care about Tigh's marital problems or Caprica losing her baby. Caprica inflicted plenty of pain. Time to pay the piper. I'm sorry, but Ellen didn't attack her on that freighter and kick her in the stomach. She didn't make her lose the baby. But it all reeked of soap opera, and Bill looked pathetic gazing longingly at his ship. Something rang so false about it all. Not that I don't enjoy BSG most of the time, but it sure has its clunkers and I question some of the choices made for story. I didn't approve of the violent methods, but I can understand perfectly why so many wanted to mutiny. Even Lee admitted he understood why they were doing it and copped to the fact that if he didn't know Bill and Laura so well personally, he wouldn't know what to do either.

Kripke planned a majority of his five year arc ahead of time and it shows. Even with the occasional clunker of an episode, the consistency is always there: Ghostly Mary's reaction to her two sons in season one's "Home" makes perfect sense after you view "In the Beginning." Her look of recognition at Dean, her saying "I'm sorry" to Sam--they fit in retrospect. Sam reminding Dean in season two's "Houses of the Holy" that Mary said angels were watching over them and the local priest's description of warrior arch angel Michael that sounded like a perfect description of Dean....it all fits.

That trailer was absolutely amazing this season of supernatural hasn’t really put a foot wrong this season. The show is definitely in my top 5 shows of all time just a shame that the CW don’t give it the credit and budget it deserves.

Re: EXCELLENT new promo for the March 12th (and new) eppys of Supernat

The trailer is good. It's very good.

For whatever reason, in spite of the handsome leads, Supernatural doesn't score highly in the teen girl demo that CW craves....at least not amongst designated Nielsen viewers. You wouldn't think so going online, but it doesn't. It's a show that skews highly male (which doesn't surprise me since they don't write Sam and Dean like the wimpy teen dreams on Gossip Girl and 90210) amongst Nielsen viewers; it also scores highly in above age 35 viewers, about whom the CW cares absolutely nothing. That's why the network spends so little money on it. Unfortunately, SPN airs against the Office and Grey's Anatomy, the two highest 18-34 and teen girl demo skewing shows on the air outside of House. It gets very high DVR numbers each week--but those don't really figure into the CW's programming and advertising dollar decisions. :scream:

It tickles me to death that once Gossip Girl started airing against new episodes of House on Mondays, its 18-34 numbers started dropping like a rock. Hugh Laurie, middle aged wonder, brings in those young girls.
