It is again time for the most wonderful, interesting, exiting
music contest of the year..the Eurovision Song Contest:cool:!

This year forty countries will be competing for winning the contest, while have good time doing it.
We also welcome Australia to the contest, who will be competing in ESC for the very first time!

This year the contest will be held in the beautiful city of Vienna, Austria, on 19th, 21st and 23rd of May 2015.
I am sure we will be seeing a great contest again. The stage and other things are looking good and Austrians seem to be very happy about hosting the event.

And like before there will be two semi-finals and the grand finale.
Here are the playlists for all the songs:

First semi-final:

Second semi-final:

Songs already in the final:

I have not listened all of the songs very much yet.
But my personal favorites so far are:

  • Serbia
  • Iceland
  • Russia
  • Albania
  • Slovenia
What are you favorite songs?
Who you think will win this year?:)

If I got in a bath full of melted chedder and only listened to Barry Manilow whilst making bad puns all day......it still wouldn't be as cheesey as Eurovision

Bring it on !!

Hopefully Norton will take the piss at every opportunity

Remember the year when Lordi won? The guys from Finland in their costumes. People who know less than nothing about Star Trek claimed then: "The Klingons have won the song contest!!!!" They didn´t look like Klingons at all. Not even like Nausicaans.

I liked Wogan's dry sarcasm but prefer Norton's straight forward piss taking

Australia's involvement is ridiculous nonsense (so perfect for this celebration of cheese)

Today it will start then..with the first Semi-Final:techman:
Looking forward to it very much myself.

It is surprisingly difficult to guess who will go to the final this year( I did make my list again to try to guess..).
Lots of ballads this year, few more modern ones, couple of party songs plus of course the punk band from Finland!

I must say this years collection of songs is somewhat mature, nothing like Ukraine 2007 this year or other more crazy songs. That is both good and bad, cause I tend to dislike about 50 percent of those ones. Some of those are great though, like the before mentioned.

Anyways, it will be a fun show and being the 60th contest so far makes it even more special. I just love the whole thing:bolian:

I think we're going to watch the first semifinal tonight. I haven't listened to any of the songs yet (apart from the Italian, German and... Australian entry) but I hope there will still be some bizarre crazy-ass nonsense in it, too.

80% of the fun in watching the ESC is laughing your ass off because of the crazy entries.

One of our worst ever. If it was a little better it would be pathetic.

I'm excited already !

As it should be. The last thing we need is to take this "cheese coated mediocrity in a sequinned dress" seriously. The fun lies in the tasteless tackiness of it all. Hopefully, there will be plenty of boobs and bad acting to enjoy

Plentiful booze, a couple of family pizzas on order and the Relayer family are all sorted for one of the viewing highlights of the year...

'Grande Bretagne - nil points !'

:)

I can never decide who's worse: France or the UK. They were both really rubbish the last few years.

I love it. :D

Ugh, what an overly dramatic opening to the semifinal. Why is Austria always so uncool compared to its neighbors?! :p

The first four were so terrible!

Moldavia reminded me of an infamous Austrian entry (Wocki mit deim Popo).
Armenia was just... too many voices and no harmony.
Belgium was sooooo fucking creepy. :D Scary!
The Netherlands aren't famous for their fashion but damn...
