Eureka Season 4

I am new to Eureka and have just watched all the first 3 seasons in the space of a couple of weeks.

I now started to watch season 4 but one thing is weird:
The "Previously on Eureka" includes a scene with Carter and Tess where she seems to be some sort of hologram. It did not appear before.
Am I missing some cross-over episode?
If I am - is it important to somehow get hold of it?

It's good that you kept with the show, even though Season 3 was so horrid. It really picks up again in Season 4. My wife and I were thinking that it was going to wind down or get canceled, but the new stories have more than redeemed it.

They retro-coned it in there because the probably were not sure at the end of Season 3 if Jamie Newton would return. She was set to do the the series Eastwick at the time. That series failed but, i guess it was to late in filming to get her back for Season 4 beyond the 1 full episode guest spot she was in as a figment of Carters mind.

Seemed like they just messed up with the previously to me. I also thought she was in more episodes than the figment of Carters mind episode.

When I saw that episode, it seemed it had just happened... Carter tells Alison about it the very same day. Heck, Tess is wearing the same outfit in the phone call as she is in end.

I guess they could have filmed both after her Eastwick show was done, but she is listed as being in four episodes in season four.
