Escapted convict uses Facebook to taunt police

I read about this a while back. Surprised he's still escaped; I would have figured they'd have tracked him down by now. Mind you, it must be fun for him sending the cops on a load of wild goose chases around the county!

Sounds like these cops are just really bad at their jobs.

Bad cops, Bad cops.
Bad Cops, Bad Cops.
Springfield Cops are on the take,
But what do you expect for the money we make,
Whether in a car or on a horse ,
We don't mind using excessive force,
Bad Cops, Bad Cops.
Bad Cops, Bad Cops.

:D

J.

The guy's a nutter, he escaped from an open prison near the end of his sentence, he was going to be released shortly. :wtf:

I really hope Tachy can pull this off. :shifty:;)

I'm generally not one to encourage criminality, but is it wrong that I'm kind of rooting for this guy? I admire his panache, or at least his insanity masquerading as panache.

Is this the guy who took a picture of himself next to a police car and posted it on line a few weeks ago?

I think this is hilarous.

Good thing this guy isn't an American though. If he lived here, when the cops finally found him, they'd find some excuse to shoot him...just for all the embarrassment he's caused.

And his subsequent stay in prison would be no walk in the park either. Drop a few words in a few guard's ears...and a guy like this would be made miserable for the rest of his life.

Really? That makes the story even better. :techman:

He'll get caught soon... I'm surprised Facebook lets him have the fan page.
They're probably working with the Police. They probably figure the more cocky he gets, the more likely they will get him.

Dude has cajones, I'll grant him that.

It takes bravery to attempt a prison break and live in the world as a fugitive. However, taunting the police about it is 100% stupidity.

Speaking of the police -- how hard can it possibly be to figure out the IP address from which he's posting, and then get the real world address to which it was assigned from the ISP? This guy was a common burglar, not an elite hacker.

Here's a thought -- he's posting from Internet Cafes, libraries, and a myriad of OTHER locations -- not the same spot *EVERY SINGLE TIME*
