You're going through a rewatch of your favorite Trek series and ugh... You've rolled around to THAT episode again. It's surely one of the worst ST episodes ever produced. How can anyone find this one entertaining?

And yet... It does have that one thing you really like in it. Maybe it's a line of dialogue or even an entire scene. Maybe there's a cool new ship design. Maybe there's some great costuming or a guest actor gives a really great performance. Whatever it is, you'll suffer through the rest of the episode for that one bit.

TNG's "Skin of Evil" is pretty worthless as an episode, largely due to the oil slick creature coming off as more goofy than scary, but the memorial service for Tasha Yar is pretty damn great. If the rest of the story that been that affecting, this could have been a memorable episode and a real tearjerker.

And, like most other Trek fans, I hate "These Are The Voyages." The "valentine to the fans" ENT finale has a multitude of flaws, from sidelining the main cast in favor of Riker and Troi, a random, underwhelming death for Trip Tucker, a plot tie-in with "The Pegasus" that makes no sense... But that last montage of the various Enterprises and the weaving together of the Picard, Kirk, and Archer voiceovers is utterly perfect.

What are some episodes you dislike except for ONE thing you really love?

Symbiosis: I hated how the prime directive was used to trampled over medical ethics, but Merritt Butrick had a poignant performance.

I always felt that regardless the Ferengi episode, Armin Shimmerman always gave his all, even in Profit and Lace. And the cloaking device gag in Emperor's New Cloak was wonderful slapstick.

Can it be two things? I really like the Kira/Bashir cold open of The Passenger. And I quite enjoy the Odo/Primmin conflict.

I don't like 'Prey' (Voyager). I can watch the scene where Janeway reprimands Seven of Nine.

Turnabout Intruder is problematic from top to bottom but Sandra Smith's Shatner impression is spot on and hilarious.

Well, when I watch shades of grey, I really, really appreciate the end credits ...

TNG's Manhunt. An episode that makes you miss Spock's Brain in it's stupidity. However, those fish aliens were actually pretty cool.

And not just any ol' fish aliens, one of them was Mick Fleetwood!

The Royale is pretty lame by Star Trek standards, but dammit all if they didn't find themselves a NASA astronaut. The beginning of that episode had me so psyched.

I love the weirdness of “The Royale”. If you let yourself in for it, the episode has kind of a 2001 – A Space Odyssey vibe going on.

Redeeming features like those mentioned above are exactly the reason why there's hardly any Star Trek episode I outright hate or find unwatchable.

The Royale is one of the TNG episodes I find most entertaining.

Wesley getting ice cream splattered on his face was a funny scene from a pretty unwatchable TNG episode, "Suddenly Human."

"Spock's Brain" gives us a good quotable line "Brain, brain, what is brain?"
