As I watch each Trek series again, I am ranking the episodes and compiling a few vital statistics. The fourth series I revisited was TOS. I'd like to share my list with the forum readers. Funny, I do these lists for myself, too.

But wait a second, I, Mudd is your favorite episode?!

Yes, "I, Mudd" is my favorite episode of TOS (at the moment, at least). It's Trek comedy done right, and it is a great showcase for the crew and the guest stars. I was thoroughly entertained from start to finish while watching it, and no other TOS episode quite matched up.

The other "Excellent" episodes provoke about the same level of enthusiasm from me, but "I, Mudd" has enough little things in its favor to make it #1.
