If you could have written for TNG, what episodes would you have devised? I have these:
- The Unforgettable
The clone of Kahless develops his fighting skills and becomes near legendary in his abilities (for having the exact agility/wits as the real Kahless). He requests that Worf transfers to the Klingon Defence Force temporarily, and embark on a quest to seek out the Hur'q, who may be living in unexplored space in the Beta Quadrant. Hur'q ships were discovered in a remote Klingon sector, and Chancellor Gowron wished to investigate this.
- Gift Economy
The Federation is admitting a new member to its union, and the Enterprise will have the signing ceremony on board. Kentazia (the planet seeking admittance) has a unique economy, based on total use of replicators to provide all needs, and people offering gifts to all others as a means of exchange. However, an earthquake of unusual magnitude destroys a key control system, undermining the replicators in the capital city region.
The Enterprise investigates and finds out that the earthquake occurred via cladestine means; it was Romulans who transpired this as a means to prevent Federation admittance. The reason was the Kentazia had agreed to outfit all Federation starships with rudimentary transwarp technology, which the Romulans feared would tip the balance of power further into Federation hands.
