Did we know already that Elnor's planet was called Vashti? At least this is a definite confirmation that it's not Freecloud.

EDIT: Also, the fact that it's called Vashti makes me very, very intrigued.

Cool. Does Vashti have shields, or a weird and extremely thick atmosphere with pretty aurorae? See the green shell arching above the planet in the space combat snippet.

Standard Romulan disruptors on the ruffians here, distinct from the Zhat Vash guns. Does Elnor have a fold-out sword, like Sulu's in the 2009 film?

Looking forward to insane levels of detail. Again.

I'm curious about that brief shot of the La Sirena being fired upon in that same shot as we see the old Romulan ship firing green disruptors, that orange beam looks suspiciously like Starfleet phaser fire, I wonder if we are going to get a glimpse of a federation vessel in this one?

Maybe a ship has been sent to track them & bring them back?

The red beam looked like it was coming from the planet.

You are probably right, however i'm hoping you are wrong.

I'm hoping that was a shot of La Sirena breaking orbit whilst being fired on. Not only will it be a pretty fun ending to the episode to have our 1st glimpse of a Federation starship but it will also make things a little more tense for the rest of the season as they will be on the run from not only the Tal Shiar/Zhat Vash but also Starfleet.

That just got me thinking. It's reminding me of the "Vashta Nerada" from Doctor Who...

... then I started thinking about Nero's ship, Narada.

I'm wondering if the similarity in names is intentional. Even if it's just an Easter Egg with no other connection.

I wonder if there is any connection between VASHti and Zhat VASH ??
:shifty:

Also, this weeks episode was Directed by Frakes.
:techman:
No...

[Flash Back]
Picard: "So, my Romulan friends, how do you like this planet the Federation found for you to settle on..."

Female Romulan Monk: "It's nice, but why is it named, "Vashti"?"

Picard: Why is it named "Vash-Tea"? No reason in particular...[Picard looks away...remembering]

[Cut to Picard's Frenck Villa where we see a Holographic 'Photo' on the mantle (as Laris is dusting) that shows Picard and Vash enjoying a cup of Earl Grey Tea together...]
:adore::whistle:;)
