Enterprise Pic?

Flying Spaghetti Monster

Vice Admiral
Admiral
I don't know if this has been posted before, so I'm sorry if it has. I found this pic while surfing for an avatar and I was amazed. It looks like they actually BUILT the thing full-scale!!!

Thoughts?

Photoshopped -- nothing to do with the movie.

I believe this fake photoshop image was made a while ago, way before the film was announced (someone please correct me if I'm wrong about the time this image was "made")

Yes, it was a Photoshopped image from long before the new movie was even talked about, but Orci or someone else connected with the production has commented that it was part of the inspiration for the teaser, which showed the new Enterprise under construction at a ground-based shipyard.

Yeh that picture is years old, I remember it floating around the net back when I was at college so its at least from 02/03

^ Heh. :) Is that the old Richmond (Kaiser) shipyard?

M', thinking Joe should be along soon to offer a comment about nacelle cap brightness

Okay, I think I see it. One or two of those old shipyard cranes were still in view when I lived nearby there (Brisbane) but I think the one which shows in the image you used is either substantially altered or long gone.

The background of the OP's pic is Hampton Roads, Virginia, and Dr. Daystrom's ship under construction is also the Miranda-class U.S.S. Reliant shown in the pic I posted above.

It was closed in 1974 so I'm sure much has changed.
Some of it caught fire during the time I lived there. Underground. For about six months, before anyone even noticed it. It's changed, all right, and the Navy has been wishing it were somebody else's problem for a long time, now.
