Enterprise Day is near

JesterFace

Fleet Captain
Commodore
Soon it's here again, my(?) silly yet weird invention, annual Enteterprise Day on 17th of January 2023.

I'm also ready for the annual day/month debate, which one comes first?

In this case it's going to have to be day and month, European style to get the numbers in the right order.

But that's not the point, the date isn't about arguing, it's about Enterprise.

Could that day be spent wondering how the designers of those ships (TV or filming model) came up with their designs? Interior or exterior.
Could that day be spent putting together miniature models of different Enterprises?
Could that day be spent watching Star Trek series that have different Enterprises in them?
Could that day be spent making an Enterprise painting?
Could that day be spent making a sculpture of an Enterprise?
Could that day be used to plow through blueprint books of different Enterprises?
Could that day be used by sampling different champagnes that were used when those ships were christened?
Could that day be the day when you get NCC-1701 tattoo?
Could that day be a day when you bake a cake with nacelles that have 1701 on them?
Could that day be a day when you carve NCC-1701 on your cars paintjob with a screwdriver?

Could that day be awesome?

Finally, lets not take this thread seriously, it's a jokey kind of thing. =)

The sense of scale prevailing, 1701-D looks much smaller than 1701-no-bloody-A-B-C-or-D. :guffaw:

In approximately 1 hour and 16 minutes, it'll be 17:01. Every day this year at that time could be Enterprise day.:beer:

I've heard sillier things. Some of them not even on this board.

I'll be building a CG Enterprise Class (i.e. refit i.e. movie) Enterprise. I'm doing that today too, but I can't imagine I'll be done by then.

What if 17:01 is an Enterprise minute every day and on Enterprise day that minute is.... somehow more special? ;)

Also, that Enterprise minute would happen many times every day on different timezones.
So, that's several Enterprise minutes on Enterprise day on 17th of January.
Oh, we are so clever.
This makes so much sense it's unreal.

Easy to miss when you use the US date format. So happy Enterprise Day to all! Everyone chug a Romulan ale to celebrate, since they're going to ban it in a couple centuries.
