Just FYI: my personal understanding of the rules around solicitation on the board are that adverts, links to auctions, etc are banned when they're posted by the person selling the item, or on the encouragement of that person, or by someone who is being paid to promote the sale or drive traffic to the auction, or has some other vested interest in the item.

So yeah, perfectly legit for you to talk about this item here, and even mention the cost if you wanted too.

It's pretty cool; I'd have it in my sitting room, for sure. Sure it's Trek, but not insane or tasteless about it.

Not because I'm interested in buying it, but because I'd like to know what this guy values his work at. I could see that thing being worth around $5000, mostly for the craftsmanship and the glass.
