So, has my entry been yayed or nayed?
I'm saying that before settling on this theme, I did some research on the song, to make sure I had all the verses right. What I found out was that there are differing interpretations of the 4th and 5th verses.Wait... are you saying that you're changing the literal interpretations rule? Or are you making exceptions for some metaphors? There should be plenty of possibilities. There are some interesting articles about the interpretation of this song and what some of the gifts really were. For example, we tend to think of the "5 golden rings" as wedding ring-type jewelry. But one article I read said they originally meant 5 ring-necked pheasants. So I'd accept a ring-necked pheasant as an entry, if anyone wants to do that.
Was it ever shown on TV? If so, it's okay. It's a picture of people playing the drums, so it qualifies. So, has my entry been yayed or nayed?
Something actually shown on TV is fine. A publicity shot isn't, since it's just a picture and not something that was broadcast. What about a television broadcast that's not a regular series--like a special event or performance? Or maybe a publicity shot for a TV show?
The swan avatar? Well, again, I'm not familiar with the Disney version (though of course I've read the original fairy tale). I don't recall the story being about anything that birds don't normally do.
