How about a motion, moving avatar of kirk trying to drive that car? That would be hystercial having the car go back and forth over and over and over again....i know you guys have serious skills with this stuff so let's see it!

You know, I did that once for the DS9 avatar contest. But I want to make something new for this one ...

I know this is an avatar contest thread, but I found a bit of trivia related to this episode that I think is fascinating, sourced from Wikipedia:

"According to Mike Okuda on the DVD commentary of the Deep Space 9 episode "Trials and Tribble-ations," the writers of DS9 had originally intended to make a sequel to "A Piece of the Action" instead of "The Trouble With Tribbles" for Star Trek's anniversary. The episode would have involved a return to Iotia, where the crew of DS9 would discover that the highly imitative Iotians had re-built their society entirely around 23rd Century Starfleet, due to the Enterprise's visit a century before. This idea was dropped when when the producers happened to chance upon "Trouble With Tribbles" actor Charlie Brill sitting in the same restaurant where they were discussing the planned tribute."

So, if Charlie Brill hadn't been encountered (making the fortuitous opportunity to have this "back in time" effect for the character to reclaim his freedom), it is very likely that "Another Piece of the Action" would have been the DS9 episode. Personally, I think it would have been a bit more of an interesting episode, but then we would have missed the revisit of the old Enterprise ship, crew, and props. Funny how fleeting the chances were in this case.
