Thanks for the votes, gang.
This week's contest will about depictions of a not-so-happy future, alien societies that may seem advanced in some ways but horrible in others, science fiction/fantasy portrayals of human (or human-like) societies gone wrong.
For some formal definitions: the idea of a society in a repressive and controlled state, often under the guise of being utopian (Wiki), An imaginary place or state in which the condition of life is extremely bad, as from deprivation, oppression, or terror (freedictionary.com).
The worlds of 1984, Terminator, Equilibrium, Escape from New York, The Running Man, The Hunger Games, The Planet of the Apes, etc are good examples.
Any example from movie, book, comic or television show is OK. If you're unsure, just ask. I'll be busy this week, but will try to check in every night.
My entry: A Clockwork Orange.
Standard board av rules apply, as always. I'll put the poll up on Friday.
