Supposedly three years after Wolf 359 (according to the episode itself), although the episode actually aired little more than 2 years after BoBW,P2. DS9 premiered the week of January 4, 1993, during a break in the TNG schedule. TNG's last new episode that season was "Chain of Command, Part 2."
