Elias Vaughan & Vanguard's T'prynn

I've read the Vanguard series and most of the DS9 relaunch (tho' it has been some years).

Is there a connection between Vaughan & T'Prynn? If so, can someone give me a Reader's Digest version on their connection?

I thought I read in another thread of the connection between those two and for some reason, I can remember what it is.

As first depicted in Mission: Gamma, Book 4: Lesser Evil, Vaughn and T'Prynn worked together in Starfleet for many years and became good friends. Elias Vaughn and Ruriko Tenmei's daughter Prynn Tenmei is named for T'Prynn.

T'Prynn actually introduced Ruriko to Elias, kinda sorta. Or at least they were all on the same mission together.
