If this particular Halloween after the loss of Nyu (and so many others) weighed on Mayu, she wasn't about to let it rob her of her love of a good--controlled--scare.
"Well, since you've seen all the best they make here, how about something American? This series features a seemingly nice normal man who marries widows and then destroys their families with brutal death-traps. It's called 'The Stepfather'."
Mayu stared at the clerk, who could not know what she was saying.
"I'll take the 'Nightmare On Elm Street' series instead, thank you."
Though she meant no insult to Freddy.
