Editing goof in Eleventh Hour

I was re-re-re-watching the Blu-Ray on the computer (actually the .avi I created on the computer from my Blu-Ray) and noticed an editing error.

This is the long version BTW, to the time indexes I cite will be based on that.

@ 54:26, the Atraxi ship is just about off screen and the Doctor begins digging in his jacket pocket, presumably for the heated TARDIS key.

But, then some normalcy and @ 54:30, we hear the TARDIS "sound" and he starts digging in his pocket for the key (again for the first time).

I think the first instance was the same exact scene, but from a different angle.

I did a snippet for youtube, and in it, the two instances can be seen at 3 seconds & 8 seconds.

I've noticed a lot of editing goofs throughout the series. How could someone not notice Smith's hair is backwards in a couple of scenes in "The Pandorica Opens"?

The http://tardis.wikia.com/wiki/The_Eleventh_Hour page has a list of production errors for this episode (and other episodes as well), including the scene you noticed. Someone needs to pay closer attention to detail.

These things will happen. I think I have to pay more attention if there's that many goofs in just one episode.

Reminded me of a 3 Stooges short, Hoi Poloi, where Moe looks down where Curly had a champagne bottle in the back of his pants, then it changes to another angle and Moe looks down again to see the bottle. Of course these were 2 different filmed parts instead of 2 angles of the same scene.

In the wide profile shot of the Doctor looking the Atraxi in the eye (heh), the actual footage of the Doctor apparently ran short, so it loops back and forth, like an idle animation in an old video game.
